It suggests that shareholders are merely one of many stakeholders in a company. Stakeholders are a group of people who can affect or can be affected by the actions a business company. The stakeholder ecosystem this theory says involves anyone invested and involved in or affected by the company: employees environmentalists near the company's plants vendors governmental agencies and more. Freeman's theory suggests that a company's real success lies in satisfying all its stakeholders not just those who might profit from its stock.
In this book based on the case study basic problems of business administration and business ethics are examined by events happening around an engineer Hakan who works for a shampoo production company and other incidents occurring in and outside of the company.
In business ethics provocative case studies like The Whistle-Blower are the gold standard for engaging students in meaningful discussions about ethics in business and their personal lives.
